Configuring Swap Rate on Zenconsole

Published on:

The 'Health Check' functionality of Zenarmor facilitates an hourly, continuous examination of the system's swap utilization. Setting swap utilization in Zenarmor enables you to operate your next-generation firewall engine securely. In the event that the swap utilization percentage exceeds the user-specified value ( %60 by default), the engine is halted and an error message is displayed to the user.

By default, %60 of total swap usage is considered safe for Zenarmor operation. You can configure the Maximum Swap Utilization (% of total SWAP) by following the next steps:

  1. Select the firewall on on Zenconsole web UI.
  2. Navigate to the Settings > Health.
  3. Set the swap rate by scrolling left or right on the bar. When swap utilization on your system reaches this rate, the Zenarmor packet engine will be stopped.
