Quick Start Guide to the Zero Trust Networks
The Zero Trust Networks section allows you to create and manage secure private overlay networks that connect gateways, endpoints, users, and applications through encrypted peer-to-peer communication. From this page, you can build Zero Trust environments, manage participating resources, and centrally control secure connectivity across your organization.
After deploying your gateways and endpoints through Global Deployments, the Zero Trust Networks section becomes the primary workspace for establishing secure communication between your deployments.
Figure 1. Zero Trust Networks
Before creating a Zero Trust Network, ensure that at least one gateway or endpoint has been deployed. Connected deployments can then be added to the network during the setup process.
The Zero Trust Networks section is organized into three primary areas that help you create, monitor, and manage your organization's secure overlay infrastructure: Zero Trust Networks, Internet Gateway Networks, and Gateway Overlay Status.
Zero Trust Networks
The Zero Trust Networks section lists all private overlay networks configured within your organization. From here, you can create new networks, open existing ones, review participating peers, and manage the gateways and endpoints assigned to each network.
Selecting a network opens its management page, where you can review participating resources, monitor connectivity, and manage the network as your deployment grows.
Internet Gateway Networks
The Internet Gateway Networks section displays overlay networks that are configured to securely route internet-bound traffic through designated Zenarmor gateways.

This deployment model is commonly used to provide secure internet access for remote users, mobile devices, and hybrid work environments while applying centralized security policies, traffic inspection, and internet access controls.
For detailed deployment guidance, refer to the Internet Gateway Networks documentation.
Gateway Overlay Status
The Gateway Overlay Status section provides operational visibility into the gateways participating in your Zero Trust overlay infrastructure.
Figure 3. Gateway Overlay Status Page
From this page, you can verify gateway connectivity, review overlay status, and quickly identify gateways that may require attention. This view is useful for confirming that participating gateways are successfully connected and synchronized within the overlay network.
For more information, refer to the Gateway Overlay Status documentation.
Creating Your First Zero Trust Network
Once you are familiar with the available Zero Trust components, you can create your first Zero Trust Network to securely connect gateways, endpoints, and users within your organization.
Click Create Zero-Trust Network to launch the configuration wizard.
Figure 4. Create Zero-Trust Network Wizard
The setup wizard guides you through configuring the network, selecting participating gateways and endpoints, and defining Zero Trust access policies.
For detailed guidance on creating and managing Zero Trust Networks, refer to Zero Trust Networks articles.
After a Zero Trust Network has been created, it appears under the Zero Trust Networks section in the navigation panel.
Selecting a network opens its management page.
Figure 5. Zero Trust Network Management
From this page, you can:
- View participating gateways and endpoints.
- Review assigned overlay IP addresses.
- Monitor peer connectivity and operational status.
- Add or remove participating gateways and endpoints.
- Access peer-specific management actions.
As additional gateways and endpoints are deployed through Global Deployments, they can be added to existing Zero Trust Networks without recreating the network.
